- A main Med Center in Eastern Nebraska is looking for PCU RN's.
- 13 Week contract, 36 hours.
Job Details
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
- RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation.
- OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass.
- Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
- More specific patient diagnoses commonly seen so we can ensure we are vetting candidates with appropriate experience: oncology and trauma.
Job Requirements
- Shifts: 12 hour.
- Shift times: 7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a.
- Weekend requirements: Every third weekend.
- Self schedule.
Schedule Information
- Unit: 6 East.
- Level of care: PCU and MedSurg.
- Number of beds: 27.
- RN Ratio (Days): 1 RN to 4 PCU, 1 to 5 M/S.
- RN Ratio (Nights): 1 RN to 5-6 patients.
- Nursing Assistant support: Yes.
- Charge nurse: Yes.
- Additional unit support staff: PT/OT, RN case manager, social work, educator, dietician.
- Specialty Equipment Available: Lyko lifts in even rooms. Other lift equipment available.
- EMR: EPIC.
- IV Pumps: Alaris.

- How many beds: 28.
- What ratios do they run: 1:4 PCU, 1:5 med/surg, it's a mixed unit.
- Float: Yes, same level of care.
- Patient Experience challenges/focus: hourly rounding.
