    Schedule Information
  • Shifts of 12 hours - 0645-1915 and 1845-0715
  • 2-week rotation core schedule
  • Manager makes schedule but will consider block scheduling
  • Weekend requirement every other
  • Holiday requirement every other
  • No Call or Standby requirement mandatory, voluntary opportunities available
  • Self-scheduling and/or block scheduling may be available
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit: MedSurg
  • Number of beds: 53
  • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin per protocol, antibiotics
  • Unit/Department-specific orientation: 2 12-hour shifts on the unit of orientation
    Additional Details
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, COVID, stroke, overflow general surgical, oncology
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 on Days, 1:6 on Nights
  • Charge nurse present on each shift without an assignment
  • Nurse aids/patient care techs present with ratios of 1:9 on Days and 1:11 on Nights
  • RT Equipment involves Cpap and occasional Bipap
  • Monitor techs available; RNs not required to read tele
  • Floating Requirements: Rotation if needed to surgical floor & PCU, within skillset
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Black pants, scrub tops of choice (solid or appropriate print)
  • Welcoming team and family feel on unit, option to go perm if a good fit
