Job Requirements
- Shifts of 12 hours - 0645-1915 and 1845-0715
- 2-week rotation core schedule
- Manager makes schedule but will consider block scheduling
- Weekend requirement every other
- Holiday requirement every other
- No Call or Standby requirement mandatory, voluntary opportunities available
- Self-scheduling and/or block scheduling may be available
Schedule Information
- Unit: MedSurg
- Number of beds: 53
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin per protocol, antibiotics
- Unit/Department-specific orientation: 2 12-hour shifts on the unit of orientation
Unit Specific Information
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, COVID, stroke, overflow general surgical, oncology
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 on Days, 1:6 on Nights
- Charge nurse present on each shift without an assignment
- Nurse aids/patient care techs present with ratios of 1:9 on Days and 1:11 on Nights
- RT Equipment involves Cpap and occasional Bipap
- Monitor techs available; RNs not required to read tele
- Floating Requirements: Rotation if needed to surgical floor & PCU, within skillset
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Black pants, scrub tops of choice (solid or appropriate print)
- Welcoming team and family feel on unit, option to go perm if a good fit
