Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Instructor with expertise in cybersecurity to join our team supporting the Army Cyber School at Fort Eisenhower, GA. As a Technical Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to military personnel in accordance with established curriculum guidelines. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical proficiency, instructional expertise, and a passion for cultivating learning environments conducive to student success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct training sessions on cybersecurity concepts, tools, and techniques in accordance with established curriculum guidelines.
Utilize office automation tools for tasks such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Type a variety of materials from rough drafts into final form, including correspondence, reports, and forms.
Maintain records, historical records, and reference libraries of training catalogs, regulations, and publications.
Establish and maintain office functional files and reference files.
Utilize knowledge management applications such as SharePoint and Blackboard.
Demonstrate pedagogical and andragogical content knowledge to effectively identify and address student misconceptions and misunderstandings.
Deliver presentations tailored to different audiences with confidence and creativity.
Hold technical instructor certifications or designations, or possess equivalent teaching experience.
Maintain DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (Any IAT Level 2 certification or higher). Qualifications: Graduated and have current (within last five years) TRADOC Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC), Foundation Instructor Facilitator’s Course (FIFC), or Common Faculty Development Instructor Course (CFD-IC); Faculty Development Program-1 (FDP-1) (as required); and Installation Staff Contractor Training Course (ISCTC) or equivalent (i.e., Cadre Training Course (CTC) or Support Cadre Training Course (SCTC)).
Possess pedagogical/andragogical content knowledge, defined as the ability to recognize student mistakes, why they may have made those mistakes, and how to get students back on track from where they are.
Able to diagnose underlying student misconceptions and misunderstandings from the mistakes they make and then help them correct those misconceptions and misunderstandings instead of merely addressing the mistakes themselves.
Possess advanced presentation speaking skills (e.g., tailoring content and delivery for different audiences, presenting confidently to large or small groups, and using more creative approaches to presenting).
Graduate of the 170D Cyber Capabilities Developer Technician WOBC or 17D Cyber Capabilities Development Officer BOLC OR A basic or higher (i.e., senior or master) Certification as a Cyberspace Capabilities Developer (CCD) OR Demonstrated experience in software development and testing using a distributed version control system, theoretical and practical 4-layer networking, algorithms, and computer science theory. AND Three years expertise in both C and Python (including network programming in both). Requirements: Ability to maintain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
One year experience writing x86 Assembly.
Two years’ experience in operating system concepts (including LINUX and Windows OS interactions through programming).
Demonstrated experience with reverse engineering and penetration testing techniques and toolsets.
