Description

  • Initiates the ability to see what needs to be done without being asked.

  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and other related criteria appropriate population in his/her assigned area

  • Maintains required core competencies.

  • Complies with set Policies and Procedures (i. e. name tag, dress code, parking, smoking, etc.)

  • Provides administrative assistance and secretarial support to the Director of EVS and Safety and EVS Manager and other personnel as requested or as needed.

  • Maintains files, records, logs and prepares reports as needed.

  • Arranges departmental meetings.

  • Opens, reviews, and distributes mail accordingly, and prepares responses if necessary.

  • Generates reports and retrieves information for Manager / Director review.

  • Accepts and receives phone calls and routes appropriately.

  • Receives and directs visitors and contractors.

  • Maintains Kronos personnel time records for EVS, Linen, and Patient Transport Services.

  • Assists with educational request forms for staff, and makes necessary arrangements for seminar attendance.

  • Maintains departmental educational files.

  • Completes and submits data for reports relevant to department’s productivity, quality, etc.  

  • Assists with and places orders for supplies, equipment etc.

  • Coordinates all billing requirements, invoices, expense vouchers, and check requests with Accounts Payable.

  • Assists with coordination of work projects for all GCMRC affiliated buildings.

  • Assists with coordination of Safety / Emergency Management projects, meetings, and other functions.

  • Assists with and publishes department schedule including weekend schedule.  



  • Monitors contracts and coordinates renewals relative to EVS/ Safety / Emergency Management to ensure timeliness of action and quality of service.

  • Schedules outside contractors as needed.

  • Secretary of Collateral Safety Committee

  • Assists coordination of Internal / External Safety Inspections and maintains documentation.

  • Assists coordination of Internal / External Emergency Drills and Exercises and maintains documentation

  • Coordinates and schedules “ Hot Wash” for Exercises, Drills, and Events and maintains AAR documentation    

  • Maintains minutes, rosters, and departmental monthly inspections.

  • Assists with Annual review of Physical Environments of Care.

  • Assists with maintaining documentation for DNV and other Regulatory Inspections.

  • Participates in Regulatory Inspections and Audits.

  • Other duties as assigned.
