Requirements
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and other related criteria appropriate population in his/her assigned area
- Maintains required core competencies.
- Complies with set Policies and Procedures (i.e. name tag, dress code, parking, smoking, etc.)
- Serves as a resource for clinical staff in employee health issues and GCRMC policies and procedures.
- Responds to requests for information/assistance in a timely manner.
- Maintains house wide Employee Health policies and assures review/revision annually.
- Adheres to infection control practices.
- Manages and control fiscal resources within department budget and according to hospital guidelines.
- Directs the operation of hospital employee health program.
- Maintains and keeps current all employee health files.
- Directs employee exposure program according to regulation
- Works with Medical Director to assess risks related to individual exposure situations. Maintains appropriate exposure documentation.
- Conducts post-offer history and physical interview with new employees, determines immunizations status, orders appropriate pre-employment testing.
- Directs program for annual physical testing of all employees.
- Chairs the Wellness Team
- Maintains active role in the facility’s Workers Compensation Program.
- Maintains active role in the facilities Employee Assistance Program.
- Supervises employees on Modified Duty Program.
