The Equipment Specialist (ES) serves as a logistics, provisioning and/or technical SME and is responsible for a comprehensive range of concept, feasibility, design development, and testing activities for major, complex new equipment systems and testing activities across all acquisition milestone phases and during post-production sustainment. The ES provides technical input to programmatic planning documentation, procurement, and technical data packages and compiles, maintains, and revises quantitative, qualitative, and category data for tools, parts, components, standardized maintenance procedures, and production techniques needed for efficient acquisition, field use maintenance and sustainment activities. An ES reviews performance data against standards and recommends training for operators and maintainers and other corrective measures. Additionally, ES revise repair manuals, technical bulletins and supply catalog data as required and analyze and make recommendations pertaining to technical problems received from users of the equipment and data catalogers. ES exercise responsibility for a comprehensive range of activities pertaining to equipment disposals. The ES will report to the Supervisor, Logistics Management Specialist (LMS). Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Perform general logistics activities in support of acquisition and sustainment operations.
Review, develop, validate, analyze and update publications (e.g., Operation Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Modification Instructions, Technical Instructions, SL-3’s and Special Supply Instructions).
Draft and review Statements of Work (SOWs) for various customer components.
Provide coordination and management of various systems and processes as required.
Assist in the initial provisioning and fielding of new equipment to include new equipment asset management and inventory control.
Manage Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and assist in providing immediate resolutions.
Travel and perform other duties as required.
Serving as the Logistics, Provisioning, and Technical Subject Matter Expert.
Providing information and advice to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment.
Compiling, maintaining, and analyzing data for tools, parts, components, and standardized maintenance procedures needed for efficient field use and maintenance.
Providing assistance during the conduct of logistics assessments supporting new equipment procurement decisions.
Preparing high quality logistics documentation such as Supply Instructions, Technical Instructions, Modification Instructions, and Disposal Plans.
Assisting in the development of repair manuals and technical bulletins and overseeing the completion of Cataloging Action Requests and supply catalog data/information.
Interfacing with Logistics Managers and Inventory Managers at Marine Corps Logistics Command.
Participate in Logistics Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Pre-Provisioning conferences, Provisioning Guidance Conferences, and Provisioning Conference in support of provisioning/cataloging efforts.
Access the Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP) to review, validate, and respond to PQDRs.
Access the DLA 339 Engineering Support Request Program to review, validate, and respond to DLA 339 requests for Engineering Support.
Perform Provisioning Technical Data analysis and input provisioning data into CATALYST.
Interface with sources of supply from both the US government and contractor(s) for the execution of spare parts supply.
Conduct research in support of Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) in support of maintenance concepts development for all programs.

U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Programs, including but not limited to: Word, Power Point, and Excel or equivalent software program.
