The Regional Trust Manager role is a senior position within the Citizens Private Wealth (CPW) Division of Citizens Bank N.A. (CBNA), reporting to the Chief Fiduciary Officer and Director of Trust Services.   This position is responsible for assisting with the establishment of a Delaware Trust Company supporting Citizens Private Wealth (CPW). This role will lead a regional team in the management and administration of personal fiduciary services under the trust powers of CBNA. 


Responsibilities:



  • Within the Delaware region, the incumbent is responsible for compliant execution of fiduciary services consistent with legal, regulatory, and governing documentation requirements, the delivery of excellence in client servicing and relationship management of the team, as well as membership and participation on various regulatory required governance committees for CBNA’s trust powers.   

  • Leadership of a team of personal trust professionals and support personnel in the development of business strategy, planning, execution, and growth.   

  • Partner with CPW and the broader Wealth organization in building and supporting private client wealth relationships that include personal fiduciary business. 

  • Interpret and apply fiduciary industry trends and be an ambassador for the Bank in the fiduciary wealth management industry and the marketplace. 

  • Responsible for setting and maintaining the governance structure of the Trust Department’s fiduciary activities, including preparation, modification and interpretation of fiduciary policies and procedures. 

  • Serve as the Chair of the Trust Administration Committee and serve in leadership or membership roles in other fiduciary the committee(s), forums and working groups.   

  • Lead the personal trust and estate business for CPW including the business strategy and planning, new business development and growth, product and service management, excellence in client service, marketing, staffing and organizational structure, and budget.  Responsible for business partnership with CPW and CBNA related and supporting areas for business strategy and growth.

  • Serve as primary business owner of Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (“OCC”) annual fiduciary exam, including the Asset Management exam, and the fiduciary components of other CBNA regulatory exams.  Serve as primary business owner for CBNA’s independent fiduciary activities auditors and internal audit activities.  Collaborate with Risk Management in the identification and management of risk in CPW’s fiduciary activities.  Identify and lead the preparation and delivery of other reports and analyses related to the Trust Department’s compliant execution of policies and procedures. 

  • Responsible for the fiduciary management and execution on CBNA’s KYC requirements, including AML, BSA and EDD requirements and CBNA’s Privacy policy.  Responsible for the Trust Department’s development of and compliance with CBNA business requirements, including vendor management, records management, registration and licensing requirements, if applicable, systems access, etc.

  • Be an ambassador for the Trust Department, CPW and CBNA.  Maintain industry expertise and expand CPW’s reputation for fiduciary services through media and community events. 

  • Nurture and expand industry network with COIs and industry groups. Participate and attend as appropriate industry leadership conferences.  Bring industry trends back to CPW for analysis and implementation as appropriate.


Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of experience in the Delaware Trust space supporting the ongoing operations of a Delaware Trust Company.

  • Previous experience establishing a Delaware Trust Company in Delaware

  • Excellent relationship building background supporting the growth of a Trust organization, working with COI’s, externally and internal partners in business development.

  • Possess a strong background in leading regulatory audits and direct experience working with Policy & procedure enhancements and adjustments as needed.

  • Experience on Audit Committees and as a member of a Board of Directors for Delaware

  • A strong background in leading and building teams, mentoring, and developing staff.


Education:



  • Bachelors Degree is required.

  • Masters Degree or JD.LLM is a plus.

  • CTFA is strongly preferred.

  • Hours per Week: 40 

  • Work Schedule: M-F
