Job Description:The Financial Analyst acts as a professional business partner as a representative of the North American Finance Team. The role facilitates financial information and accounting data between required stakeholders and central accounting. The role will be responsible for the timely and proper budgeting, tracking, and reporting of financial activities, including accounting / controlling tasks related to cost accounting, inventory controls, R&D controlling, project management, and fixed assets. The position is responsible to also prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for management review on assigned responsibilities. The role is responsible for performing cost accounting tasks related to inventory reconciliation and controlling activities, month-end close activities and other duties as required within manufacturing environment.?Assists in the Budgeting and Forecasting activities for capital investments, standard product costs, inventory obsolescence, manufacturing processing variances, and purchase price variances.Prepares, schedules, and documents information to aide in the facilitation of the decision-making process within the budgeting and forecasting cycles.Manages, monitors, and performs initial review for all capital expenditures, ensuring compliance to CLAAS Corporate guidelines.Leads and manages various projects, local content processes, and travel management reporting and data collection.Establishes accounting standards and analyzes / bridges product cost changes year over year.Evaluates cost data to identify manufacturing process variances and delivers detailed explanations of the same.Performs target cost calculations and analysis of potential standard cost deviations.Performs month-end close activities for Production Company to include, but not limited to: Month-end analysis and reporting of manufacturing and purchase price variances.Prepares payback calculations on applicable investments and / or projects e.g., running business scenarios for evaluating new product lines in the plant for NA.Performs R&D controlling activities (e.g., gather inputs and establish annual cost rate, perform monthly reporting of actual project costs vs. plan; etc.).Establishes new benchmarks for cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and inventory turns.Prepares liquidity forecasts and reconciles deviations from plan and prior forecasts.Your profile:Bachelor?s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field of study, or equivalent work experience required.Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience within a manufacturing environment, highly preferred.Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting applications in an integrated computerized environment.??Expert level EXCEL skills, required.Demonstrated ability to evaluate data and quickly and accurately assimilate into a useful format to convey a clear explanation.Ability to fully understand costing activities and analysis of cost increases.Proven strong initiative and ambitious toward process improvements.Knowledge of general accounting practice, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.High degree of accuracy and competency in finance and accounting functions.Experience with and knowledge of SAP, highly desirable.Full-time Benefits Package Include:Premium free health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and long-term disability;Competitive paid time off;401(k) with a generous company match;Retirement Readiness Program;Company-Paid Life Insurance;Flexible Spending Accounts;Dependent Care Resources Program;Tuition Reimbursement;Employee Assistance Program, including mental health;Wellness Programs including weight loss, diabetes management, and high blood pressure management;Legal & Financial Services;Fun & Safe Environment
