Our Grande Prairie, AB location is currently looking for a Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! The Drilling Field Mechanic is responsible for the safe repair and maintenance of seismic equipment.

Drive vehicles including manual and automatic transmission;
Will go from crew to crew conducting preventive and reactive maintenance;
Test and validate repairs on all seismic equipment when needed;
Weld equipment and create parts;
Knowledge of all seismic equipment and troubleshooting procedures;
Complete administrative duties: fuel logs, time sheets, and audits;
Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health and Safety and Compliance protocols;
Follow proper LOTO procedures when conducting maintenance on equipment;
Ensures, understands and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards;
Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment;
Other duties as assigned.

Mechanically inclined;
Able to work outside in all types of weather conditions;
Able to read a map correctly;
Able to use a VHF radio;
Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment as a contributing team player;
Strong verbal communication skills that will promote effective communication between customers, colleagues and internal management;
Heavy duty equipment repair and maintenance experience and/or seismic equipment repair and maintenance experience;
Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout the work day.
