Clean Harbor’s in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Class A Driver to provide transportation of hazardous waste from company facilities and/or an outside disposal facility in compliance with all required polices and regulations.

  • Servicing 5 Sites (Suncor Sites): Fort McMurray Area -Base Plant; Fort Hills, Fire Bag, Syncrude Main and McKay River.
  • Typically taking loads to Ryley, AB or Red Deer, AB. 
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Work on a 60–70-hour schedule; Overtime after 8. 
  • Schedule loads with end receivers. 
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste (i.e., drums are properly segregated and loaded, etc.); Adhere to weights and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
  • Contact all associated locations to forecast waste loads on a weekly basis.
  • Complete all associated paperwork -Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Manifests; and Environmental Regulatory paperwork. 
  • Pick up supplies when needed. 
  • Occasional overnight stays at Ruth Lake Lodge in Fort McMurray. 
  • May have to offload at facilities with a Forklift. 

 

  • Class 1 Driver License.
  • E-log usage experience. 
  • Manual Transmission experience is required for 18 Speeds.
  • Experience pulling Super B’s and Van Trailer. 
  • Prior hazardous waste or chemical handling/background experience is an asset.
  • Valid Safety Tickets preferred or provided (i.e. H2S Alive, First Aid, CSTS, TDG, WHMIS etc.);
  • Proficient in Windows based applications.
  • Proficient with an ELD (Samsara). 
  • Forklift Experience preferred. 
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Positive attitude and mindset.
