Safety-Kleen situated in Chambly, is looking for a Facility Foreperson. This person will be responsible for overseeing plant operations, including barrel pumping and dumping and tank farm operations. This is a physically demanding position, in potentially adverse conditions such as heat or cold, all year round.

  • Organise work effectively
  • Supervise several plant employees
  • Ensure that all related documents required to track waste are retained and submitted immediately following completion of processing operations.
  • Ensure that employees follow and maintain all applicable health and safety standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure that supervised staff   meet all compliance standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean working environment
  • Driving a forklift truck
  • Sample tanks and barrels
  • Prepares bulk waste for shipment to other Safety-Kleen, Clean Harbors and/or third party sites
  • Warehouse and inventory duties as required
  • Ensures loading and unloading areas are kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by management and as required by the needs of the Safety-Kleen business.

 

What does it take to work at Safety-Kleen?

- High school diploma or equivalent;

- 2+ years supervisory experience preferred;

- Ability to work as part of a team;

- Good organizational and leadership skills;

- Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications;

- Demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following specific plant operations: supervise barrel movements, inbound and outbound shipments, any other tasks required by the management team.
