Our Chambly, QC facility is looking for a Facility Equipment Operator. This person will be responsible for: operating heavy equipment within the facility, assuring the unit(s) has(ve) daily maintenance duties performed and communicating any problems or issues with the unit(s) immediately upon discovery, to their Supervisor.

  • Perform one of the following tasks: Operation of an excavator and, if necessary, backhoe, heavy crane and/or heavy-duty forklift;
  • Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated;
  • Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner which is inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures;       
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements;
  • Assures that all containers are properly secured, ie chockblocks, jackstands;
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Ensures that work meets compliance standards within facility operation;
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment;
  • Other Duties as Assigned
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrates complete mastery of the use of an excavator
  • Previous environmental experience with hazardous waste
