Clean Harbors in North Kingstown, RI is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join the team! The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing on-site maintenance and repairs at the facility (no travel is required) industrial processing equipment. We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual with an excellent commitment to health & safety. Drivers License is required.
 

 Work Schedule: 2nd Shift 2:30 pm-11:00 pm Monday- Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Disassemble/Reassemble facility equipment to examine or repair
  • Performing preventive maintenance such as changing the oil and servicing the coolant.
  • Determine cause of malfunctioning systems and perform repair or replacement of defective component(s)
  • Monitor equipment to ensure all repairs and testing are completed to insure proper operation
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hydraulic system repair experience
  • Maintenance mechanic experience
  • Heavy equipment repair experience
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Valid Drivers’ License
  • Ability to use a cutting rig
  • Ability to successfully pass mechanical aptitude testing
  • Proficient with computers and systems
  • Knowledge of the industry’s latest technology or having experience working with electronics
  • Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards
