CSA is seeking a Joint Logistics Planning Analyst for a position supporting the Joint Staff (J4), PLANS Division in the Pentagon. The successful candidate will work on a team of subject matter experts to integrate joint logistics, a joint capability described in Joint Publication 4-0- Joint Logistics , into joint policy, doctrine, strategic and operational planning, concepts, processes, systems, and training. How Role will make an impact: * The primary duties of this position are to integrate logistics and sustainment capabilities into joint operational planning, processes, systems, and data; review and assess operational plans and orders to ensure adequate planning for logistics and sustainment support; and to support other joint force development activities advancing the operational relevance and reality of logistics support to military operations. The candidate will accomplish the following tasks:
* Enable the J45 to successfully execute CJCS 10 USC responsibilities related to Strategic Planning, campaign, contingency and exercise planning, and logistic analysis.
* Support the development of strategic concepts and capabilities considering great power competition, operationalizing logistics, emerging Joint concepts including the Joint Concept for Contested Logistics (JCCL) and Joint Concept of Competition (JCC), and contested logistics. * Improve the way the government plans for, coordinates, and acquires commercial capability and capacity.
* Operate within the Joint Planning Process, apply strategic and operational guidance to review and offer analytical inputs to CCMD-created CONPLANS and OPLANS, WARNORDS, OPORDS, and FRAGORDS or supporting Service component plans and orders.
* Originate, conceive, and conduct logistics and sustainment capability planning and execution research, process analysis, or studies leading to improvements in joint planning, execution, and integration of logistics capabilities into joint planning processes, procedures, systems, and data
* Review and develop policy, guidance, instructions, joint doctrine, manuals, handbooks, procedures, briefings, talking points, information papers, training products, or other guidance as they relate to logistics or sustainment. * Adjust to shifts in priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously that may include staff support relating to current operations What you'll need to have to join our award-winning team: * Education: Doctorate degree from an accredited university or college; or Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience, or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years' experience; or No degree with at least 10 years warfighting operational experience.
* Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI * Experience drafting and reviewing operational, warning, execute, and fragmentary orders, logistics-related strategic guidance or similar products
* Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Task Force (JTF), or Service component command experience in planning or managing logistics or sustainment support to military forces in overseas military operations or joint exercises, experience in military operations planning in a joint or Service component environment to shape, develop, and review operational plans, annexes, and appendices that integrate logistics capabilities. * Knowledge of planning factors and methods that anticipate logistics or sustainment support requirements to prompt planners
* Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of logistics operations, including application of analytical and simulation models.
* Experience with execution tools that enable and support CCMD/JTF headquarters logistics capability
* Familiar with logistics concepts, tactics, techniques and procedures to deploying personnel
* Ability to write concisely, express thoughts clearly, and developing ideas in logical sequence. What Sets you apart: * Graduate of Phase I Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) or equivalent level joint tour(s) * Experience reviewing and drafting strategic guidance and concepts as it relates to logistics and sustainment (e.g., LOGSUP, National Defense Strategy, National Military Strategy, Joint Concept for Contested Logistics)
* Experience as a U.S. Army Logistics Support Plans and Operations (SPO) Officer or other joint or Service equivalent (J/G/A/N/S-4)
* Experience in joint planning processes, systems, or data
* Experience planning and executing combined and joint operations at the theater/CCMD/JTF or component level, experience with the Joint Training System, joint interagency operations planning, logistics, and civil-military operations conducted at CCMD or Service component command level * Familiarity with key stakeholders and organizations in the joint planning process or logistics communities of Interest.
