Position Title: Bartender

Position Overview

The Bartender prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests at the end of daily field operations. This position keeps track of wines, beers, liquors, and other supplies, and facilitates the ordering and restocking process. The Bartender is responsible for hosting guests in the lounge and bar areas and facilitating the evening social scene.

This is a seasonal job opportunity.

Daily rate of pay is based on an 11-hour day, worked as a split shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for lodge guests.
  • Collaborate with the Lodge Chef for wine pairings.
  • Manage on-site beverage inventory and working supplies.
  • Responsible for ordering, receiving, and daily record keeping of all alcohol sales through the on-site POS system.
  • Maintain a clean and professional work area.
  • Perform radio duty, as required, to support field operations.
  • Willingness to assist other members of the lodge team, as needed.
  • Adhere to OH&S and WHMIS standards.
  • Understand and enforce BC Liquor Laws.
  • Support guests in the field program, as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Serving It Right Certificate.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of wines, beers, and liquors.
  • Minimum of 3 years of bartending experience.
  • Experience with ordering and inventory management.
  • Background in luxury hospitality or fine dining, preferred.

Working Conditions
  • This job is in a remote area of British Columbia. Employees are required to find their own way to and from the lodge or helicopter staging area for work shifts.
  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job-specific equipment on a constant basis.
  • Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business.

COMPENSATION

A competitive daily rate will be provided based on skillset and experience, along with 4% vacation pay and potential opportunities to heli-hike, as available.
