The CNO IT vision is to achieve TechHappiness for both our business partners and IT associates.As a Lead Software Developer, AI, your responsibilities will include:Providing direction regarding the creation, testing, and implementation of machine learning algorithms and experimentsBeing the lead seasoned and technical guru affecting design, quality, and timeline; possessing broad knowledge of the entire product.Assisting the manager with team performance; putting the team first and prioritizing ways to help the team members.Developing and deploying Python and Azure native solutions using generative AI, NLP, and computer vision technologies to meet the business needs of CNO stakeholders and customers.Collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to develop data pipelines, APIs, and microservices that support AI experiments and solutions.Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and leading brainstorming projects for improvements or considerations based on domain logic and code architect design, prototypes or proof of concepts.Monitoring and optimizing the performance, reliability, and quality of AI solutions in production environments, resolving issues and implementing best practices.Actively engaging with other developers and team members on AI concepts, techniques, and tools, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.Writing functional specifications, technical documentation, and unit tests for AI features and components, following agile methodologies and code quality standards.Participating in code reviews, design sessions, story refinement, and brainstorming activities with the AI team and other IT teams, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.Ensuring compliance with data governance, privacy, and security policies and standards, and contributing to the development and maintenance of systems and data catalogs.Resolving urgent issues and ad hoc tasks on project completion; making sure the team stays on track and creating a sense of urgency.The Lead Software Developer, AI position is well-suited for you if you:Have strong Python development skills in data analysis, integrations, and building web applicationsHave some experience deploying and managing AI solutions on Azure cloud services, such as AI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, or Azure Synapse AnalyticsAre able to authorize and guide the team to make decision on small - large project technical scope considering overall code architecture, to write custom macros to optimize the workflow considering overall code architecture, to write libraries to add more functionality or to automate the most frequent processes without having to write code for them considering overall code architecture, to build their own custom framework considering overall code architecture.Can guide a Senior Software Developer in all aspects of database, programming language, platforms and tools.Have demonstrated experience guiding a team on technological solutions to complex problems, taking charge of the team and coordinating its workflow to consistently produce business value.What you’ll need:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field is required.Seven or more years of developer/programmer experienceThe ability to guide the team on technological solutions to complex problems, take charge of the team, and coordinate its workflow to consistently produce business valuePython development proficiencyWhat will set you apart:Insurance industry experienceCloud computing experience (Azure, Snowflake, or similar)Project experience in AI and Insurtech solutionsThe ability to balance the needs of the team and business partnersThe Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchShort-term & long-term disability insurancePaid time off and corporate holidays,Paid parental leaveCompany-paid life insuranceClick on this link for additional information.CNO embraces flexibility and encourages you to work where you’re most productive.
