Lead Typescript & Node.js Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer with 10 to 12 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in TypeScript JavaScript AWS and Node.js. Experience in the Payer domain is a plus. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that drive our business forward.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex software applications using TypeScript JavaScript AWS and Node.js.

Oversee the implementation of scalable and efficient code that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to ensure best practices are followed.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed software solutions.

Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure the reliability and stability of software applications.

Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

Ensure the security of applications by implementing best practices and conducting regular security assessments.

Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the development process.

Contribute to the overall architecture and design of software systems to ensure scalability and maintainability.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any issues or concerns.

Qualifications

Possess a strong background in TypeScript JavaScript AWS and Node.js with at least 10 years of hands-on experience.

Demonstrate expertise in designing and developing scalable software solutions.

Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Show proficiency in automated testing frameworks and methodologies.

Have experience in the Payer domain which is considered a plus.

Display strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 9/30/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
