Senior Full Stack Developer (with React and Node) - Hybrid

Cognizant Digital Engineering is looking to hire a senior Full Stack developer with knowledge of professional software engineering standard methodologies for the full software development life cycle, knowledge of front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Typescript, Redux). Focus on ensuring the software project security, and work to keep new technology by utilization of new tools and trends.

Location: Bethpage, NY (3 days in office and 2 days remote).

Key Responsibilities:

• This role will focus on the technical processes related to software development and will assist in maintaining the high quality of new software systems.
• This role will focus on ensuring the software project security, and work to keep new technology by utilization of new tools and trends.
• Perform Python/Node development within a server and serverless architecture - back-end code (business model code, data access, flows), unit test code, test scripts, and HTML/JavaScript front-end code.
• Write effective APIs contracts and API implementations.
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Work as part of a development team in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications:

• 8 to 10 years of software development experience.
• Confirmed experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Knowledge of front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Typescript, Redux).
• Solid experience in ReactJS and Node.JS development.
• Expertise in UI development using ReactJS.
• Proficiency in HTML5/CSS3Expertise in client-side JavaScript framework like React, jQuery Strong.
• Experience in building Node.JS concepts (Such as event loop, cluster, memory management). Good experience of building RESTful web services.
• Strong experience in RDBMS databases.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MYSQL and LDAP) and UI/UX design.
• Knowledge of coding standards, code reviews, source control management (Git, Gitlow), build processes (Maven), testing, and operations.
• Experience debugging and performance tuning applications and services.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, automation releases, CI/CD pipelines would be an added advantage.
• Working experience writing programmatic compliance checks.
• Superb communication and teamwork skills.
• Great attention to detail.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $55,578 – 125,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
