Position Overview

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, restorations, and extractions
  • Diagnose and treat oral health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, preventive care, and nutrition
  • Manage patient behavior using age-appropriate communication and behavior guidance techniques
  • Administer local anesthesia and sedation as appropriate and in compliance with regulations
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary
  • Stay current with continuing education and advancements in pediatric dentistry

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry residency program
  • Active dental license in SC
  • Current CPR/BLS (and PALS if required by practice or state regulations
