Our Access Network Solutions Team in Wallingford, CT is hiring for RF Design Engineer specialize in designing Power Amplifiers to join our innovative team.
This pivotal role will play a crucial part in our mission to connect the world through advanced network engineering.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
Reporting to our Director of Hardware Engineering, the position will be primarily associated with CATV RF Amplifiers, including Full Duplex and Extended Spectrum DOCSIS versions.
This position requires simulation, modeling, breadboarding, and prototype evaluation of RF and Digital circuitry used in these RF amplifiers.
With your knowledge of broadband RF components, you will collaborate with multi-functional design teams comprised of mechanical, electrical, test, and operations engineers.
As a crucial team member in our laboratory, you will work with network and spectrum analyzers, taking measurements including frequency response, return loss, noise figure, non-linear distortion, signal-to-noise ratio, bit error rate, modulation error ratio, optical modulation index, and thermal analysis.
You will be able to make recommendations to the inter-disciplinary team to enhance performance and improve product quality.
This role requires the candidate to be on-site 5days a week to work with our team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of related experience or Master’s Degree with 8+ years of related experience.
Knowledge of CATV RF Amplifiers and the following:
- Electrical design theory.
- Circuit analysis and modeling tools.
- Schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Software programs such as Keysight Genesys
- Proficient with test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
- Product lifecycle models.
You Will Excite Us If You Have:
- Familiarity with DOCSIS Cable TV Standards.
- Experience with RF components, designs & circuits.
- Knowledge of digital communication IC’s and micros.
