Interventional Radiology Nurse

$12,000 Sign-on Bonus with two (2) year commitment to that role. Open to external applicates who have not been previously employed by CMC in the last rolling 9 months.

 Status/FTE: 0.6 FTE

Shift length: 10 hours

Start Time: 0700

Unit: Diagnostic Imaging

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Two (2) ten-hour (10hr) shifts Monday through Friday. Saturday/Sunday: on-call only. One (1) summer and one (1) winter Holiday rotating schedule. On-call: 8 weekdays (defined as Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in a 6-week schedule, and every 3rd weekend (defined as Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Unit specific additional qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Critical Care (ICU/CC),
  • Experience in all Radiology/Diagnostic imaging modalities: Fluoro OR, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, and general Fluoroscopy required
  • Experience in the administration of Moderate Sedation
  • Experience in the recovery of post sedation patients required.  

Required qualifications:

  • Current state RN License
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS
  • ACLS upon hire

Preferred qualifications:

  • BSN preferred,
  • Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) and/or Certification in Cardiac Cath Lab or Critical Care preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills to anticipate and prevent deterioration in patient stability during and after procedures preferred.
  • Experience in assisting with set up of invasive lines such as Arterial Lines preferred.
  • PALS and pediatric sedation experience preferred.
