We're looking for a Clinical Supervisor to join our Community Regional Surgical Cardiac Progressive Care unit!
In this 47-bed unit, you will care for a diverse patient population with various surgical cardiac and neuro comorbidities, including post-open heart, Left Ventricular Assist Device, Pulmonary Hypertension trauma, epilepsy, brain tumors, spinal injury, and more! You should be a self-motivated team player eager to learn and ready to contribute to the efforts of this close-knit team. As the region's flagship hospital, this USCF academic-affiliated facility is home to the only Level I Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke and Comprehensive Burn Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento — serving as the area's safety net provider and covering nine counties. We are the only health system with the expertise and cutting-edge technology to handle the most challenging, complex cases in the Central Valley. This means that whether you are an experienced RN or newly graduated, you will have the opportunity to grow and advance at every corner!
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
2 years staff RN experience in area of specialty providing a full spectrum of care in a variety of situations required
May substitute 2 years supervisory experience in lieu of 2 years staff RN experience
Experience coordinating clinical care and providing mentorship, education, and training to staff nurses.
Experience as a Nurse Supervisor or a similar position in an acute care hospital preferred
Licenses and Certifications
RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
NATIONAL - National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role preferred
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within 1-year of hire or transfer into position
BAC - Basic Arrhythmia Certification required within 6-months of hire or transfer into position
