Title: Application Architect/Website Designer
Location: Baton Rouge, LA (Primary work will be carried out remotely, but the resource must be available to go onsite when required)

Job Description:

The scope of services for this role includes the following responsibilities:

The Application Architect/Website Designer will support the redesign of over 100 web pages and related documents, ensuring a seamless and intuitive customer experience for all users. The role focuses on creating a user-friendly interface that complies with ADA and Plain Language guidelines throughout the redesign and rebranding process.

The Website Designer will collaborate with the web development team to implement tools that improve customer access to resources without needing direct assistance. The contracted individual will ensure that website navigation is seamless, intuitive, well-organized, and customer-focused. They will also design the site to enable super users to easily maintain and edit content after the redesign, incorporating a built-in approval process for content updates.

Additionally, the Architect will ensure that the website performs at or above industry standards and will provide justification for the necessary infrastructure. The Architect will also assist in transitioning the website from a .net domain to a .gov domain, following federal guidelines and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Redesign over 100 web pages with a focus on customer experience

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in designing enterprise websites using modern web development platforms and industry standards
  • 1 year of experience designing end-user-friendly, well-organized, accessible, searchable, secure, and mobile-friendly Web Content Management Systems (WCMS)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience ensuring websites meet Federal and/or State requirements during successful redesigns
  • Experience ensuring compliance with ADA and Plain Language requirements
  • 1 year of experience developing websites that meet Plain Language guidelines
  • 5 years of experience developing websites that meet ADA requirements
