TS/SCI w/Poly ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: Comtech Systems, Inc. (CSI) is looking for a Senior Training Developer (Sr. TD)/Instructional Sys-tems Designer (ISD) to play a crucial role in overseeing courseware design, development, delivery, maintenance, and providing professional guidance to content Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This role is vital in supporting Cyberspace Operations (CO) to Department of Defense personnel at the Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT), Corry Station, Pensacola, FL. Our market segments consist of: Tactical Communications, Space & Component Technology, Mobile Datacom, and Cyber Security Solutions. PRIMARY DUTIES: • Perform duties as Sr. TD/ISD
• Regularly meet with various project stakeholders
• Recommend innovative and complex technical training solutions
• Utilize PADDIE for content development
• Apply industry best practices in adult learning principles and theories
• Organize information to facilitate increased learner comprehension
• Develop formative and summative evaluation strategies
• Track work and schedules to ensure completion within scheduling parameters
• Provide quality assurance/control on design plans and instructional materials • Respond to customer service inquiries with effective communication strategies
• Aggregate and analyze customer and student metrics for course
• Develop plans and timelines for course documentation (e.g., storyboards, narrative scripts, graphics, textbooks, tests, and scenario props)
• Support curriculum design and development for students and instructors, including stu-dent/instructor guides, workbooks, performance exercises, evaluations, activities, labs, etc., printed and online
• Support diverse training needs of a military training environment Clearance Requirements: Applicants must possess: • The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the level required by each task. SKILLS REQUIRED: • Strong oral and written communication abilities • Demonstrate technical aptitude to support technical training materials • Mastery of Microsoft Office (O365) products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Expertise facilitating focus group discussions, conducting classroom learning sessions, seminars and workshops
• Expertise in developing courseware for a variety of delivery methods including instructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Required Experience:
• Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Systems Design, Educational Technology or Curriculum Development, and four (4) years of experience within the last eight (8) in in-structional systems design or adult education and training development
OR
• In lieu of the Masters’ degree, a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Systems De-sign, Educational Technology, or Curriculum Development, with an additional two (2) years of instructional systems design or adult education and training development experience for a total of six (6) years within the last ten (10) years is acceptable
Preferred Experience:
• At least 3 years of experience in media development, publishing, and content management. Adobe eLearning Suite (e.g., Captivate, Articulate, Photoshop) and experience in LMS admin-istration (e.g., Moodle)
• Instructional background in a technical training program
