Responsibilities:

As a Service Electrician, you will diagnose electrical issues, perform repairs and installations, and provide homeowners with expert recommendations while delivering exceptional customer service.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical issues
  • Provide clear recommendations for repairs or system upgrades
  • Perform installation, repair, and replacement of electrical components including:
    • Light fixtures
    • Switches and receptacles
    • Circuit wiring
    • Breakers
    • Breaker and fuse panels
    • Electrical service and metering equipment
  • Perform routine electrical maintenance inspections
  • Safely access service areas such as attics and crawl spaces
  • Use electrical tools and diagnostic equipment including meters, power tools, and ladders
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service teams
  • Complete service documentation, invoices, and payments accurately and on time
  • Educate customers on additional electrical products and services that may benefit their home
  • Maintain inventory, tools, and equipment in company-provided vehicles
  • Follow all local and national electrical codes and safety standards

 

Qualifications:

 

What We’re Looking For

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of residential and/or light commercial electrical experience

Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • State electrical license is a plus

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and industry tools
  • Understanding of electrical safety practices and code compliance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations as needed
  • Ability to work in tight spaces such as crawl spaces and attics

Technical Skills

  • Mobile devices (smartphone, tablet, iPad)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Service software platforms (training provided)
  • Email communication systems

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

 

This role requires working primarily in residential homes, both indoors and outdoors. Technicians travel to multiple residential service locations throughout the day to perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Physical requirements include:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Occasional climbing and crawling
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
