Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran#LI-RK1Essential Functions & Accountabilities:As part of the CooperVision Global Legal team, provide guidance and support on legal matters affecting CooperVision globally, with a particular focus on supporting Global Procurement (direct and indirect) activities.Lead Global Legal Projects, coordinating with the business and legal colleagues across CooperVision and group companies. Structure, negotiate and draft significant strategic contracts, with a focus on Procurement.  Proactively analyse contractual terms, identify risk and prepare best practice ‘deal’ terms / negotiating positions for procurement activities, preparing and training out on associated playbooks for CooperVision teams to use.   Act as lead for all legal issues arising out of Global Procurement activities, including disputes and litigation. Prepare, refine and standardize Global templates for use across CooperVision, with a particular focus on procurement activities, obtaining and coordinating Region specific prioritization and input, for implementation and embedding of templates in CooperVision. Act as primary Global Legal Lead to Procurement teams to refine contracting processes and mandatory terms.  Train CooperVision colleagues involved in procurement, on best practice and risk management.Embed and standardize global use of procurement templates / Conga system for contract generation and as a contract repository for CooperVision.  Instruct and effectively manage external counsel, where required, effectively managing legal budget and ensuring value add is provided by external law firms to CooperVision in the context of procurement.Proactively partner and work with other group lawyers to drive alignment with best practices and action knowledge sharing. Full timePosting Date: 2024-07-24
