Insurance Attorney Job Summary
We are seeking an Insurance Attorney to play a crucial role in our Insurance Practice Group, providing legal counsel and representation to clients in the insurance industry.
Insurance Attorney Responsibilities
- Handle a diverse caseload of insurance-related matters, including but not limited to coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and subrogation cases
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on insurance-related issues
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and provide proactive legal solutions that align with their goals
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums, advocating on their behalf in insurance litigation matters
- Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. Negotiate settlements when appropriate
- Stay abreast of changes in insurance laws and regulations, advising clients on compliance issues and potential impacts on their operations
Insurance Attorney Position Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (Top 25%)
- Admission to the state bar in Louisiana
- 3-4 years of experience in handling complex coverage matters and litigation
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
