We are currently seeking Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support our Army team in Fort Belvoir, VA. Job Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (currently remote due to COVID) CyberData Technologies desires a mid-level systems engineer to provide technical and cybersecurity support to the US Army Enterprise Staff Management System (AESMS) Program and its customers. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Information Assurance, systems engineering, architecture, have experience using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system, applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF),experience in network operations. The systems engineer will serve as the liaison between the vendor’s Task Management Tool (TMT) technical team, ALTESS and the AESMS Project Office. The systems engineer must be able to convey technical and operational considerations orally and in written formats and graphically to Army/DoD senior leadership. The candidate is expected to be familiar with the characteristics of a variety of DOD, Army, security requirements as they relate to TMT. The candidate is also expected to provide assistance and IA guidance to application stakeholders as they navigate the Army’s TMT migration process. In support of the AESMS Program mission, occasional travel may be required. The candidate is required to have and maintain an existing SECRET clearance. Required Skills:
Strong background in DoD/Army computing environments and application security requirements
Creating and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution
Providing authoritative technical guidance in overcoming technical obstacles and questions
Skill in applying the roles and responsibilities of the functional proponent and the information manager in the development and fulfillment of information requirements. Familiarity with the Army Enterprise Architecture and the information technology environment and how they interrelate and interact.
Knowledge of the intent and purpose of DoD policy and agreements and how they are developed to assist the Army in accomplishing its mission, goals, and objectives. Knowledge of how to review and analyze policy-like instruments, identify impacts and implications on existing policy, reduce findings to sources of action and/or recommendations, succinctly present courses of action and/or recommendations orally and in writing to the decision maker for decision, articulate the ensuing decision in the appropriate medium, and incorporate changes to existing policy.
Possess general knowledge of Client-Server Architecture (compliance related items)
Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation process and procedures as well as the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), NIST, DoD Provisional Authorization, and assessment and authorization process (A&A);knowledge of Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) system (tracking POAMs, vulnerabilities, ACAS scans), and System Security Plans (SSP); Assessment and Authorization (A&A); experience with and/or knowledge of DISA STIGs
Possess problem-solving skills, dependable, flexible with work requirements, communicate effectively, handle complex tasks, take the initiative, display determination in work, and organize and prioritize tasks.
Knowledge of and experience with SharePoint and Office 365
Experience using the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR) system. Desired Skills:
Prior experience acting as a liaison between project teams
Experience in mission assurance and cyber threat analysis, providing comprehensive vulnerability and threat analysis, and/or experience supporting penetration testing
Familiarity with Department of the Army Guidelines and Regulations
Experience performing network Evaluations and Audits.
Experience conducting Contingency Plan Evaluations and updates
infrastructure and cloud engineering and operations
Experience gathering and developing requirements, designing and implementing processes and workflows within web applications and business process management systems
Identifying and recommending improvements to business processes and process management applications, as needed
Ability to visually represent concepts and ideas for senior leadership
