PLUMBING ESTIMATOR

POSITION TITLE: PLUMBING ESTIMATOR

HOURS / WEEK: 40 HRS/ WEEK

JOB SITE LOCATION: 31625 Grand River Ave, Farmington, MI 48336

DUTIES: Attend pre-bid site walk meetings to physically verify the complexity of the project. Review potential projects from bid boards for projects that are out to bid and select those that align with current and projected workloads. Attend project meetings for coordination with other trades/contractors as required by the project and otherwise interface with project stakeholders such as general contractors, other subcontractors, architects, engineers and owners representatives throughout project as necessary. Assist Senior Estimator, Project Managers, and Superintendent to plan and coordinate all aspects of the companys execution of plumbing projects, including coordination of supervision, labor, and subcontractors, ordering materials, and overseeing any applicable project logistics. Assist Senior Estimator, Project Managers, and Superintendent to oversee DMIs safety protocols on plumbing projects. Develop Plumbing project work business opportunities and drive the receipt of plumbing project work awards from DMIs current and prospective customers. Complete accurate and timely estimates/bids for all plumbing projects. Obtain vendor/subcontractor quotations as required for estimates. Review all awarded contracts to ensure contracts match the key financial, business and project points provided by DMI in estimates/bids. Estimate multiple projects at the same time. Estimate, manage and track all change orders. Attend company staff meetings for coordination with other company divisions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field. Experience must include: Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related position. Experience must include: experience in the following building codes: 2021 Plumbing Code, 2021 Mechanical Code, 2021 Energy Code, 2021 Fuel Gas Code, 2015 Building Code, 2015 Rehabilitation Code. Must have experience in Trimble Estimation and Microsoft Excel.
