For more information about DAWSON, please visit dawsonohana.com. **Job Summary:** The Project Controls II position is responsible for interpreting assigned contracts, setting up and maintaining projects in the company's ERP system, and handling monthly project billing. This role involves establishing project cost and revenue forecasts, conducting monthly performance reviews and updates, and collaborating with technical, financial, and management teams to track and control all contract financial activities. **Responsibilities:** - Set up and maintain projects and work breakdown structures in the company's ERP system, including labor categories and prevailing wage tables. - Collaborate with project management to establish and maintain cost and revenue budgets, develop forecasts, and analyze project performance indicators. - Perform monthly analysis of actual costs and profit margins, identifying variances and potential overspending risks. - Generate and manage reporting data to produce project controls reports and maintain accurate project data for multiple ongoing projects. - Prepare and submit monthly invoices for assigned contracts, including government final and quick close-out invoices, and supporting documentation. - Review subcontractor agreements, monitor subcontractor status and open commitments, and compare project purchase orders with forecasts. - Address financial inquiries related to contract value, modifications, funding, revenue, costing, hours, open commitments, and billing concerns. - Coordinate with the Project Management team and finance/accounting department on project reviews, cost containment, and collections of outstanding receivables. - Review calculated revenue monthly for anomalies and make necessary adjustments. - Provide coding to Accounts Payable for subcontractor and vendor invoices. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's Degree (BA) in accounting, finance, or business, or 1-2 years of related experience/training, or equivalent education and experience. Alternatively, 5 or more years of progressive cost accounting and project control experience in a corporate setting, ideally with a government contractor. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic Excel skills, familiarity with Costpoint or other ERP systems, and experience with SharePoint. - Strong project controls experience from project initiation to completion, including cost estimating, analysis, risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and performance analysis. - Understanding of government cost accounting principles, GAAP, CAS, FAR, and familiarity with DoD (DCAA/DCMA) compliance. - Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills for documentation, reporting, and presentations. - Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence employees at all levels. - Ability to identify issues, interpret data, and develop solutions to complex problems. - Comfortable working independently or in a team, with occasional travel as needed. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
