Hourly Salary Range: $25.00 to $30.00 Job Summary: DAWSON is currently looking for a part-time Stormwater Compliance Program SWPPP Inspector to support Fort Campbell, Kentucky. This part-time position will report on-site Monday through Friday 0700-1530. The ability to obtain and maintain a CAC is required. The SWPPP Inspector will primarily be responsible for inspecting construction sites in Kentucky and Tennessee to ensure compliance with project-specific Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) under the Clean Water Act, as well as compliance with erosion control regulations and applicable environmental regulations and permits. The SWPPP Inspector will provide additional regulatory support and guidance for projects across the planning, execution, and closeout phases. Responsibilities: 1. Act as a technical lead to project team. 2. Cultivate a work environment committed to the health, safety and wellness of employees. 3. Collaborate closely with Government Project Managers and Program Managers to execute a diverse range of environmental assignments effectively to support Fort Campbell's Clean Water Act Programs, including ensuring compliance with Tennessee and Kentucky Construction permit requirements. 5. Conduct regular inspections of a variety of construction sites to identify potential environmental hazards and ensure compliance with SWPPP and other relevant regulations. 6. Documenting all inspection findings and communicating them to the Government Project Managers and Program Managers. 7. Inspect areas of concern, as identified, and make appropriate recommendations to construction personnel, as required 8. Developing and implementing corrective action plans and mitigation measures for any identified environmental issues or hazards. 9. Coordinate with construction personnel to implement Best Management Practices to address issues impacting compliance. 10. Attend pre-construction and field constriction meetings to ensure compliance with SWPPP and other relevant regulations. 11. Providing technical guidance to the project team regarding SWPPP and other environmental regulations. 12. Provide guidance and direction to the project team with respect to the Clean Water Act. 13. Maintain lists and databases of inspections and findings. 14 Prepare and submit digital reports based on inspection findings. 15. As part of the MS4 Program assist with community outreach programs and engage with stakeholders to foster positive relationships and support environmental initiatives. 16. Assist with other Clean Water Act programs including MS4 and Industrial storm water compliance. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Biology, or equivalent experience in the environmental field. 2. Ideally should have a minimum of 3-5 years' managing water permits in Kentucky and/or Tennessee. 3. Shall have a minimum of 3-5 years Construction inspection experience for NPDES permits. 4. Must have one of the following certifications: Erosion and Sediment Control Level I Tennessee or Kentucky. 5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. 6. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders and communities. 7. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. 8. Certification in stormwater management or a related field would be advantageous to the role. 9. Valid Driver's License, with ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier.
