Production Planner Summary: The Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command (NEMSCOM), Cheatham Annex (CAX), Williamsburg, Virginia, is responsible for the design, production, life-cycle management, deployment, and operational readiness of United States (U.S.) Navy DEPMEDS. The Production Planner who will be responsible for coordinating and planning the production schedule to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing processes. This role involves working closely with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to optimize production flow and meet customer demands. Duties and Responsibilities * Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or production issues. * Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure materials are available for production. * Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks. Work with the manufacturing team to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. * Order Management: Review and process customer orders. Ensure that production plans align with customer requirements and delivery deadlines. * Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Generate reports on production performance and provide recommendations for process enhancements. * Communication: Liaise with various departments, including procurement, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines. Communicate any changes or issues promptly. * Quality Control: Ensure that production processes meet quality standards. Work with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues that arise. * Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs. Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. * Experience: Previous experience in production planning, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. * Skills: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent organizational and time management abilities. * Proficiency in production planning software and tools (e.g., ERP systems). * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Secret Clearance required DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
