And you’ll proactively engage with platform core team members to coordinate thermal design, including risk assessments and quality goal evaluations. You’ll also conduct thermal feasibility studies for new projects leveraging existing designs, while also generating new designs and patents (intellectual property). Here’s what we are looking for with this role:Essential Requirements:15+ years of experience in product design ie, laptop PC, desktop PC, and/or Commercial/Consumer ElectronicsSophisticated knowledge of mechanical, thermal and performance interactions, and ability to apply experienced understanding to resolve issues on specific thermal tasksAbility to motivate and direct a workgroup with advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures and product development from thermal perspective; ability to work with and feel comfortable working in a Scrum environmentAdvanced understanding of using 3D CAD (Computer Assist Design) and FloTherm thermal simulation tools; Solid experience on thermal design knowledge/resolutions and relationship with industry solution providers for daily tasksExcellent working knowledge of thermal engineering and industry design guidelines with expertise in the areas of design for large-scale production, sheet metal, injection molding and heat extractionDesirable Requirements:Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and or Thermal EngineeringCompensationDell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
