JOB SUMMARY


The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring all materials, parts, and products meet established quality standards. Prime responsibilities of this position include inspecting, testing, and recording results while collaborating with engineering, sales, and production to support workstream improvements and quality-related issues.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Conduct inspections and testing of materials, parts, and products to verify adherence to quality standards.

Establish inspection protocols, define sampling procedures, and determine appropriate equipment for testing processes.

Recommend improvements based on inspection results and assist in formulating and revising quality control procedures.

Record test results while completing Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and Certificates of Analysis (CofAs).

Collect and compile quality data and compliance documents such as U/L, CSA, REACH, RoHS, etc.

Support root cause analyses and address quality-related customer complaints, RMAs, corrective action requests (CARs), and material review board (MRB) incidents in collaboration with the Quality Supervisor and Production Managers.

Assist the engineering team with process improvements, material qualifications, tool/artwork/jig qualifications, and other quality-related projects.

Process stock check requests and stock orders as required.

Perform various tasks under general supervision with minimal oversight.



ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS


High School diploma/GED required, associate degree in a related acumen highly desired.

3+ years of experience in quality control or a related field.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and be adept at good documentation practices.

Demonstrable skills in database management and record-keeping.

Strong computer aptitude inclusive of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.

Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management system standards.

Meticulous attention to detail, analytical proficiency, and expertise in our ERP and EQMS systems are crucial.

Experience with laboratory equipment and analytical testing is preferred.

Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of quality to plan and achieve goals

Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, & follow detailed instructions

Ability to stand for extended periods at a time (e.g., up to 4 hours) and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
