Duties * Provides assessments for cyberspace operational requirements and develops recommendations for equipment, systems, tools, and manning requirements for future operations cyberspace support and service components operational/contingency operations. * Leads cyberspace deliberate and crisis action planning to address the applications of cyberspace operations and deliver the appropriate effects across the entire spectrum of conflict to meet the Director's stated goals and objectives. * Reviews standing contingency plans and supporting cyber plans to prepare revisions, endorsements and updates for appropriate action. * Assigns work based on priorities, difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of the employees; provides technical oversight; develops performance plans and rates assigned subordinates. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by Act as the defensive cyber operations (DCO) and DOD Information Network (DODIN) subject matter expert responsible for planning, integrating, synchronizing, and coordinating cyberspace operations in support of the Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Component Commands, and subordinate units' defensive and mission assurance priorities and requirements. Provides assessments supporting operational cyber requirements and develops recommendations for equipment, systems, tools, and manning requirements to support operational, crisis and contingency planning. Expert in key processes to enable DCO/DODIN activities to include the Joint Planning Process (JPP), Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), and the Request for Support (RFS)/Request for Direct Support (RFDS) processes. Experienced with the mission, and effective employment of Cyber Protection Teams (CPTs) in support of the CCMD. Supervises a multi-functional and highly technical team leveraging the latest DCO concepts and best practices for defending DOD networks. The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
