Duties * You will serve as senior engineering technician for all Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE), which includes any of the following: elevators, escalators, personal hoists, inclined lifts, automotive lifts, and similar systems. * You will performs VTE surveys, inspections, and certification at field sites to determine safe regulatory compliance then sign and post the Operating Certificate upon satisfactory completion of the evaluation/testing process. * You will consult with engineers, architects, and others in VTE design development to ensure all areas receive proper design consideration and the total project objectives and schedules are met. * You will prepare correspondence, technical reports, estimates, status and schedules as required to complete project assignments; and perform statistical and simulation analyses of data to make technical and business decisions. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
