Duties * Serves as a Telecommunications Specialist, Senior Voice Engineer for Defense Switched Network (DSN), Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN), Enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (EVoIP), Enterprise Classified Voice over Internet Protocol (ECVoIP). * Serves as an action officer, telecommunications voice networks technical expert, advisor, trainer, and liaison officer for DODIN/DISN voice systems. * Defines, plans, and manages the installation and fielding of new or relocation of DODIN facilities, and develops support policies and procedures for ensuring that quality installations will obtain the highest possible DISA customer satisfaction. * Provides DODIN network-centric system support and technical advice, assists supported commands in the analysis and system configuration engineering required to improve DODIN systems, procedures, and capabilities. * Produces implementation plans; specifying equipment and technical details; participates in the preparation of Statements of Work (SOW) and bid evaluations. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Working in a telecommunications technology environment with transmission media or switching systems to study, install, and maintain telecommunications systems and monitoring the installation, inspection, and testing of new or modified communications and electronic systems.
