Duties * Reviews, assesses and evaluates a wide variety of projects. * Implements changes to existing systems/programs considering factors such as cost, schedule and increased efficiency of operations. * Advises on formulation of broad policies and doctrines. * Develops plans for accomplishment of the assigned programs. * Reviews and evaluates data relating to short and long range operations and requirements to keep abreast of program progress and anticipated problems. * Identifies problem areas and determines and directs actions necessary to accomplish organizational operations. * Maintains liaison with appropriate representatives of higher headquarters, field commands, and industry to ensure up-to-date awareness of the status of all actions, detection of before-the-fact potential slippage and of increased costs. * Reviews reports, analyzes issues, directs problem solving, evaluates progress, assesses outcomes, reports on task and schedule progress and outcomes, and recommends follow-on actions.
