Duties * Manages and generates reports on the financial management performance of subordinate commands that will aid commanders and resource managers with the effective use of government resources. * Implements and reviews DoD and Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA) measurement standards, indicators, and techniques for business activities. * Performs Joint Reviews (JRP) to review, evaluate, and recommend improvements to accounting procedures, reports, and financial services. * Provides guidance and feedback to managers, protects the integrity of government resources, recommends operational, procedural, or systems modifications that will maximize utilization of resources. * Reviews daily work, special projects, and year-end work products for accuracy, reliability, integrity, and compliance with supervisory direction, guidelines, work processes, and procedures. * Ensures erroneous or unclear data, reports, or documentation are detected and corrected prior to release of final reports * Prepares for audit readiness, recommends solutions for accounting and operational problems, new or changed regulations or procedures, and examining automated systems outputs. * Solves problems through analysis and in-depth research. * Develops position papers and fact sheets that interpret and explain reports and accounting data. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
