Duties As an Attorney-Adviser (Fraud), you will be responsible for the following duties within DLA Counsel - Land and Maritime: PROVIDES LEGAL ADVICE AND SERVICES: * Selectee will serve under the supervision of the Acquisition Counsel as a Senior Contracts Fraud Counsel for DLA Counsel - Land and Maritime in Whitehall, Ohio. * Serves as senior legal advisor and subject matter expert for procurement fraud and business integrity, and as the chair of the local Counterfeit Material/Unauthorized Product Substitution (CM/UPS) Team handling the complex, novel, and difficult legal issues arising from procurement fraud matters. * Serves as a lead, responsible for training and mentoring of team members new to office and/or matters in the assigned area. * Provides legal advice on contract administration matters, contract disputes, procurement fraud, and termination or contract close out. Refers cases for investigation, monitors and reports on current fraud cases, and coordinates with the investigative agencies, Military Departments, and Department of Justice (DoJ). * Identifies and implements proactive/preventative measures, including training, and coordinates and pursues criminal, civil, and administrative actions against contractors and individuals who have engaged in misconduct, fraud, or seriously improper conduct. * Collaborates with other senior attorneys to manage the equitable distribution of work among attorneys and assure that work is accomplished in an accurate, responsive, and timely manner. * Represents Agency before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA), Government Accountability Office (GAO), and liaises with the U.S. Department of Justice on civil litigation and criminal prosecutions in Federal Courts. * Performs other duties as assigned.
