Duties * Secures cargo inside or upon conveyances which have regular, rectangular, unobstructed cargo areas. * Installs blocking and bracing inside or upon box cars, gondolas, flat cars, vans, trucks or other conveyances. * Determines necessary sizes for braces, wedges, cables, and other staying devices by measuring or estimating them before and during construction or installation. * Identifies and locates ammunition and components for shipment. * Ensures conveyances are adequate for transporting materials.
