Duties The selectee will serve as a Budget Analyst in the Budget Division. Typical work assignments include: * Analyzing changes in reimbursables, construction, no-year accounts, expenses and related costs on the annual and long-range budget. * Approving/recommending adjustments such as reprogramming of funds between object classes or the need for supplemental appropriations in response to changing program requirements and funds availability. * Preparing a variety of reports covering the status of funding and providing information to managers on expenses and obligations incurred. * Leading the revision of plans, policies, and guides, and the evaluation, development and implementation of methods and procedures for budget formulation, execution and overall financial management. * Recommending strategies for long-range funding policies and procedures. Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below. You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $117,962.00) if you possess one f ull year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: * Developing and implementing guidelines, procedures and/or controls for a financial management program; * Reviewing annual budget requirements to recommend improvements; and * Providing guidance to stakeholders regarding compliance with budget policy.
