Duties * Administers information systems to maintain Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) eTool/eTOs and other associated systems. * As the Electronic Technical Order Viewer (ETOV) System Administrator. * Serves as Group Communications Project Officer for recommending selection of and installing new computer systems and software, telephone/personnel wireless communication systems (PWCS), and maintaining all communications related systems. * Maintains supervisor's calendar, coordinates meeting arrangements, and schedules meetings and/or conferences. * Performs other administrative and clerical work in support of the office/organization. * Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often requires complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets. Examples of specialized experience includes: Implementing system administration regulations, manuals, procedures, policies, and operations requiring extended training and experience to perform a wide variety of assignments and resolve a wide range of problems related Information Technology system functions; Diagnosing and resolving problems with telecommunications, Local Area Network (LAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN), both NIPRNET and SIPRNET systems; Application of systems administration methods and IT security principles to correct security vulnerabilities in eTools and eTool servers. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: * Knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices for integrating information system components sufficient to plan, coordinate, and administer computer systems, and optimize system performance. * Knowledge of a full range of network systems (LAN/WAN) design principles, methodologies, and approaches used in developing, testing, installing, operating, managing, and maintaining network services that support functional requirements. * Knowledge of operating systems, associated devices, and the interoperability of systems sufficient to install, upgrade, troubleshoot, test, and maintain those systems; to optimize the functionality and performance of systems; and to ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers. * Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, graphs, and E-mail/messaging; skill in typing, a qualified typist is required. * Skill of system administration methods and procedures to monitor system performance using performance monitoring tools. * Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions; and train users on new computer systems. * Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
