Duties * Serves as the Supervisor of the IT Branch, supervising a team of specialists (NF-4/GS-09 level) performing Systems Administration and the delivery of Information Technology. * Formulates and publishes technical guidance and standard operating procedures for IT specialists; and ensures that supplies, equipment and other materials are available. * Implements systems security plans, policies and preventive maintenance schedules. Using systems diagnostic tools and fault identification techniques, runs tests to verify operability and functionality. * Provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support to minimize interruptions in customers' ability to carry out critical business activities. * Supervises staff, defines organizational objectives and specific goals of the subordinate IM element, and plans short/ long-range work to be accomplished. Adjusts schedules, objectives, and goals for the workload, personnel required, and priorities. Qualifications Experience, education and/or specialized training sufficient to demonstrate knowledge and skill in: * Principles and methods for integrating information systems components. * Performance tuning tools and techniques. * System diagnostic tool and fault identification techniques. * Systems administration methods. * IT security principles. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials * This is a pay-banded position. * Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
