Duties * You will plan, develop, and execute the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program * You will guide junior contract specialists and participates in the analysis of the requirements and ensures clear articulation of Government requirements in the solicitation. * You will develop pre-negotiation position, determine the type of contracts and negotiation authority to be used, and prepares justifications as necessary. * You will participate as lead negotiator of multi-disciplined Government negotiation teams and directs the analysis of the team evaluations. * You will make decisions, as an agent of the Government, based on laws, statutes, regulations coupled with sound business judgment. * You will ensure compliance with the provisions of laws, regulations, and policies. * You will serve as principal contracting advisor to the program management office and represents the agency as the programs contractual authority at conferences and meetings. * You will maintain a continuous up-to-date awareness of all aspects of procurement and contract administration. * You will identify potential problems and provide advice and guidance for a course of action to resolve problems. * You will communicate and distribute work assignments and adjustments as necessary to accomplish mission. * You will explain and defend contractual actions to all levels of higher authority as requested or required. * You will provide expertise in life cycle acquisition by furnishing advisory, planning, and compliance services and develops acquisition streamlining procedures for implementation on projects or programs.
