Summary You will serve as a OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Future Operations Assessment and Analyst Department of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII. Incentives may be consider. Duties * You will attend Marine Corps Base (MCB) Hawaii and tenant Current Operations (COPS) planning meetings and in-progress reviews to ensure required actions are tracked and coordinated towards timely completion. * You will be responsible for a wide variety of exercises, operations, studies, and special projects. * You will research the issues involved, develop recommendations, prepare, and coordinate staff information/decision papers, facilitate implementation of approved recommendations, and assist to resolve inter-directorate conflicts. * You will coordinate and complete command operational reports. * You will represent MCB Hawaii S-3 at planning meetings and conferences. * You will plan and lead initial and final planning conferences for events. * You will support S-3 planning for new unit arrivals/transfers in conjunction with Department of Defense (DoD) realignment efforts. * You will provide planning, synchronization, and control of elements. * You will study and analyze base product and service delivery for potential improvement, streamlining, restructuring, and reengineering. * You will collect data and studies current functions and processes. * You will analyze the findings of each study and develop recommendations for redesign and realignment of processes and positions. * You will guide teams in process modeling, reengineering efforts, and functional analyses. * You will study components including problem definition, fact-finding, interviews, and the design of process-improvements. * You will implement and monitor progress to ensure establishment of sound processes and most efficient utilization of resources. * You will lead teams engaged in the process of studying and analyzing the operations, to include products and services for potential improvement, streamlining, restructuring, and reengineering. * You will consult, facilitate, and advise individuals and teams during the gathering of data, interviews and fact-finding efforts, identifying opportunities for improved business operations, cost savings, increased productivity/customer satisfaction. * You will ensure the transfer of knowledge necessary to support project or event sustainment and provides training to key personnel as necessary. * You will advise the Director and Deputy Director on relevant issues. * You will prepare written reports and briefings for leadership on proposed actions and recommended methodology for implementation of proposals affecting current/future operational issues. * You will deliver impromptu briefings to senior management.
