Duties * You will be responsible for directing and coordinating facilities planning, programming, project execution, facilities maintenance, and obligation of facility funds for the Atlantic Naval Construction Forces worldwide. * You will assist engineer planning and coordination with the host installation. * You will inspect contractor support, craftsmanship, equipment and materials to ensure compliance with contract requirements and liaisons with appropriate Public Works officials. * You will perform analysis on facility assets and capabilities, identify facility deficiencies, evaluate alternatives, and assess impacts and developments in supporting NCG2 and conducts routine surveys of space utilization and management. * You will prepare and maintain on-hand (physically or electronically) engineering drawings, maps, charts, card files and similar records to reflect requirements, assets and facility deficiencies and excesses to meet present and projected missions. * You will assist in planning, development of NCG 2 facility operating costs, budget input, development and maintenance of automated information reporting systems. * You will oversee the procurement of Class IV materials for all NCF operations throughout Africa, Europe, South America, the Middle East and the United States. * You will develop and oversee global project material acceptance processes in order to ensure that acceptable materials are being received by subordinate units in accordance with project specifications and local building codes. Qualifications To qualify for the GS-12, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience providing necessary input and coordination in the planning, programming, and execution of facilities projects in direct support of life-cycle sustainment and facilities maintenance. * Experience analyzing and evaluating both present and future facility requirements for assigned NCG 2 units (both active and reserve), managing the allocation of facilities resource funding and performing facility command assessments as required. * Experience coordinating with Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Army Corps of Engineers, and other service engineering support commands in order to accomplish required facility projects. * Experience preparing all necessary command documentation required for project development and overseeing the entire process from project inception to project completion.
