Backend Engineer: Location: Hybrid; 3-4 days onsite in N.W DC Description:
As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure that houses software, machine learning models, data, and serverless functions that support mission critical operations. You will build and manage CI/CD pipelines, implement and automate security best practices, optimize cloud performance and cost efficiency, and quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues when they arise. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployments that abstracts away server management and environment configuration for data scientist and software engineering teams. Qualifications:
TS-SCI clearance Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields requiring extensive use of software development, or, equivalently, four years of demonstrated, practical experience in software development. Four years of Java, Python and SQL experience or certifications AWS developer associate or higher certification Experience with the Java Hibernate Object Relational Mapper Experience with containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle. Ability to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF located in Washington, D.C. Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.
