Accessibility Specialist Eleven Peppers is hiring a cleared Accessibility Specialist. If you’re a seasoned Accessibility Specialist or just getting started, apply today! As an Accessibility Specialist, you ask yourself “How can I make this better?” You have a working knowledge of accessibility issues for web and electronic documents. 508 is your BFF and memories of alt text that says image no. 7 give you migraines. You’re bright, passionate, and driven. You can work well with others and work efficiently when accomplishing independent tasks. The Fun stuff: - Solving puzzles - Providing equal access to products - Improving usability for all users The Necessities: - Experience using JAWS screen reader (ideally 1+ years) - Familiarity with WCAG(AA) Accessibility Standards or equivalent - 508 testing and 508 troubleshooting - Familiarity with scrum and product planning? - Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools Nice to have: - WAS Certification - Experience with automated accessibility testing - Experience testing web applications - Web development experience - Experience with 508 vendors? - Ability to perform initial debugging on test failures and read through the code - Ability to identify and communicate risks and opportunities for improvement across all products and test frameworks - Experience with UI and electronic document 508 remediations
