Job Description:

The Project Manager will oversee construction, renovation, modification, and repair projects within Client Construction's portfolio, which includes hospitals and cemeteries. Projects typically range up to $4,000,000 in budget. The Project Manager's responsibilities cover the entire project lifecycle-from pre-construction planning to project close-out-ensuring that government contracts are executed efficiently. This involves creating detailed project budgets and schedules, proactively managing and monitoring all construction activities to ensure they meet the client's requirements, deadlines, and financial constraints. The role requires strong administrative, teamwork, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively manage projects and ensure compliance with all relevant codes, permits, and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for federal construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with federal agencies and stakeholders, including USACE, VA, National Parks, BLM, and NAVFAC, to navigate processes, specifications, and standards.
  • Manage project activities such as scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement to meet project goals within defined parameters.
  • Lead and manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Prioritize safety throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal safety regulations and fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Regularly update clients, stakeholders, and government agencies on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring objectives are met.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365, Procore, and USACE RMS to manage project documentation, communication, and reporting.
  • Oversee quality control, ensuring adherence to specifications, inspections, and certifications as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically in federal contracting, with projects involving USACE, VA, National Parks, BLM, and NAVFAC.
  • Expertise in civil construction and tenant improvements, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of federal construction regulations, processes, and standards for USACE, VA, National Parks, BLM, and NAVFAC projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Procore, and USACE RMS for project management, communication, and documentation.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, stakeholders, government agencies, and project teams.
  • Must hold a valid California Driver's License and can operate a company vehicle during work duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Construction Project Management Professional (CPMP) certification or equivalent.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with LEED or sustainability initiatives in construction.
  • Additional certifications relevant to federal construction projects.
Additional Job Information:
  • Salary Range: $105,000 - $120,000 annually
